MOVING

It's been a whole year since I started blogging.

I have loved going back through and reading the things that have happened in our lives. I have forgotten most of it, and it's only been a year... I'm so glad I have it to look back on.

Anyways, I've run out of room, and am moving to :  willbeenjoyed.blogspot.com for the new year of blogging.

Guess we'll see you there : )

Last week our ward had a pay group day at the botanical gardens.
It started storming shortly after we arrived, so we spent most of the time playing with the fun stuff they have inside.

We're going to have to make some felt stir fry for home. Heath loved this.
 Heath showing Ellie
Houston Heath Ellie Miles in the most amazing stroller ever!
We had tons of fun, but wanted to check out everything we missed outside. So the boys and I went back the next week.
Everything is so beautiful there!

For my family

It was a perfectly beautiful day.
Heath ran almost the whole park 2x over. He would run ahead, then run back to me, again and again. Sure wore  him out.

How do kids always instinctively know which one is the daddy?

I would love to have a picnic table like this someday.

They loved the little home garden section.

Heath made me lots of soups.

Heath asked several times to play in the water park. I finally gave in just before we were going to leave and they absolutely loved it! Houston was so hilarious to watch.
He kept growling at the holes and when they'd shoot he'd take it right in the face, then move on to the next hole to growl again.
They both have a bit of a runny nose and cough now... I'm hoping it's not from this. I keep telling myself it wasn't cool enough, and I dried them off right away and put them in blankets, but you always wonder and second guess.

Matt joined a intramural flag football team at school. So we went to watch their first game. Heath was SO excited when I told him we were going to watch daddy play football. The whole car ride he kept asking "are we going to daddy's football game?!"
He had a blast wearing himself out. Houston loved it too. He has really been a daddy's boy lately and kept trying to get to Matt. I think he was pretty confused as to why he hadn't hardly seen dad all day, and he could see him  but wasn't allowed to be with him.
The boys were dubbed the official team mascots. (although im not really sure what kind of mascot they are; blue devils, lions, warriors, I guess once the team figures out a name well know)
Heath asked several times where Uncle Johnny was. I think he will forever associate football with John D.
Heath was constantly asking "where's my daddy now" and when Matt wasn't out playing Heath wanted to be standing right by his side. He was really well behaved through the whole game.
Now that we know where the field is we'll probably be able to ride the metro to his games. So that's pretty nice. It was super fun and gave us some boys that went to bed so easily that night.

Why are kids so adorable when they're wet?
Bath time is sure a happy time at our house.

Saturday was a beautiful day. Matt had found this conservation center online he thought would be pretty neat  so we decided to pack up and check it out.

They have a shooting range $3 per hour for a lane, as many ppl as you'd like. You can also shoot skeet for less than you can buy it at the store, and you get to use their fancy auto thrower. It was pretty sweet.
Heath grabbed his gun, and shot while Matt got in line and got checked in. It was super loud with all the guns going off, but Heath thought it was super cool.  After he got his fill we left Daddy to shoot and went to explore the conservation center.
Sadly the center is closed on Saturdays, but we just walked around and found some pretty nice spots.
 We had some snacks.
Watched the butterflies dancing in the butterfly garden.

 Smiled.
 Laughed at silly Houston.

 Explored.
 Followed.
 Enjoyed.
Around the back of the building they had a huge porch
 with 10 hummingbird feeders.
They were buzzing around everywhere. I tried to count and stopped at 35 on the feeders at one point.

 It was really breathtaking.

They were so tame. We were right next to the feeders and they were just buzzing all around our heads.
The boys were playing and yelling and being crazy but it didn't seem to bother the birds at all.

 They are such beautiful birds.
My Grandma Rees loved hummingbirds. It always reminds me of her to see them. She would have loved this. : )
