So long open spaces,
it's time for moving on.
Matt was home for 3 days after his Kentucky visit to tighten up a few loose ends before the move, then flew out to SLC for Eddie & Kaitlyn's Wedding.
He had so much fun with everyone, and we were super jealous especially when he told us of all the fun they had. : )
Matt Jim Ed John Luke Sam
Becca Katie Ed Amanda
They were missing Pete and Mary, but everyone else was able to attend. Maybe we'll get everyone together for Christmas before Johnny takes off for his mission.
While Daddy was away with his family having fun, the boys and I were finishing up the packing and cleaning. blah. We decided to bid LaiLai's goodbye in honor of Eddie's wedding day, and since we were feeling a little sorry for ourselves. : ) It was the cheapest dinner out for 3 ever. (they were both young enough to be free, even though Heath probably ate about as much as me)
I was a little worried about doing a buffet with the two boys alone, but I just kept Houston in the stroller so I could roll him to the food and it worked out great.
We did all the prep we could, with some help from my dad and brothers. Then Wednesday morning Daddy flew into KC and drove to Joplin with GrAnnie where she dropped him off to get the moving truck.
When Matt went to reserve the truck they were running a special on the 16fter. It was $50. So we got that size rather than the 24ft one we had been planning on.
We loaded all our posessions (minus a few tubs of storage things) with the help of a few friends from church
Said our goodbyes to our place, and our wonderful neighbor friends,
and took off to my parents place for the night. The next morning we got up and started the haul to St Louis.
It took us right at 5 hours to get here, but we made it. Our great friends had lined out help for us when we got here, even though they were still on vacation. So we got everything unloaded, ate dinner at the Tripp's house, and were able to sleep in our own beds that night.
and everyone was still happy : )
